Shift Times:

The shift pattern would require you to work days and nights and two out every five weekends. The average shift pattern is 33.6 hours a week, although this can be topped up by covering your colleagues holidays.

The shift times are:
Day shift - 08:00 – 16:00

Mid shift – 16:00 – 00:00

Late Shift – 00:00- 08:00

At weekends we work 24 hours a day, so either 08:00 to 20:00 or 20:00 to 08:00

Pay Details:

£18.66 per hour, average weekly hours 32 giving a weekly pay of no less than £597.12

Control Room Operator - Britsafe Limited

Britsafe Limited, a leading security company, is seeking a Control Room Operator to join our Security department. As a Control Room Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring staff attendance on site.

  • Discussing welfare issues with site-based staff to ensure safe working practices are maintained.

  • Calling staff to deal with any shortfalls in manning, arranging cover if any staff call in sick or fail to attend.

  • Escalating concerns about staff performance to their managers.

  • Respond to alarms and incidents, and take appropriate action

  • Coordinate with security personnel on the ground to ensure a swift response to any security breaches.

  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and actions taken.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and emergency services.

Job requirements



  • Prior experience as a Control Room Operator or in a similar role is preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Great phone manner and ability to strike up good relationships with site-based staff over the phone
