Security Officer

Location: Wrexham
Pay: £13.86 per hour
Hours: Full Time, Average 42 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off

About the Role

Britsafe is looking for a professional, reliable and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team at a busy manufacturing facility in Wrexham.

This is a gatehouse-based position within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling access to the site, managing visitor and vehicle movements, operating computer-based security systems and using a weighbridge as part of the site's daily operations.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being busy, can multitask effectively and is comfortable dealing with drivers, contractors, visitors and site personnel throughout the day.

Main Duties

• Controlling access and egress to the site

• Booking visitors and contractors onto site

• Checking vehicles entering and leaving the premises

• Operating the site weighbridge

• Using computer systems to record and process site activity

• Monitoring CCTV and security systems

• Conducting site patrols as required

• Maintaining accurate records and completing reports

• Responding professionally to incidents and emergencies

• Providing excellent customer service to visitors and site personnel

What We're Looking For

• A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence

• Good computer and keyboard skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to remain organised and accurate in a busy environment

• Reliable, professional and punctual

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Previous gatehouse, logistics, weighbridge or reception experience would be an advantage, but is not essential as training will be provided
